The island falls within the “Protected Marine Area of Santa Maria di Castellabate” established for the protection of the marine habitat, the vegetation and bioconcentrations living in the area. It is possible to anchor around the island and enjoy a day of complete relax on board, snorkelling and swimming in the crystalline waters characteristic of the place.
Punta Tresino is characterized by the sea habitat which is protected at an European level, thanks to its cliffs covered by the typical vegetation of the Mediterranean coasts. The promontory of Monte Tresino starts from the area of Trentova (Agropoli) where you can anchor your boat, and enjoy a moment of complete relax, continuing up to Zona Lago of Castellabate. The particular coast formed by the flysch rock of the Cilento forms small caves below the sea level, where the rich fauna is the spot of a wonderful underwater landscape, ideal for snorkeling.
Just after the island of Punta Licosa, sailing slightly towards the south you arrive at the Baia di Ogliastro Marina. Even here it’s possible to admire the wonderful seabed, covered by the typical marine vegetation. Entering the bay you can moor in the special mooring areas and take advantage to visit the seaside village, with its restaurants overlooking the sea and enjoy some typical Cilento dishes, or continue to the beach of Case del Conte stopping at the feet of Ripe Rosse, a promontory rich of Mediterranean vegetation overlooking the sea.
